Lately you've been hearing more and more than the future is video marketing. Video this video that.  But before you jump out and start pumping out hundreds of homemade videos that no one is going to watch there is a few things you should know about video marketing.

You do not have to have professional voice overs or professional music or even professional video production to make videos.

Yes, your videos will look more professional but they also cost a lot. I was on a site the other day that offered custom video production and it was $447 for one video.

There are thousands of videos on YouTube that have thousands and hundreds of thousands of views and they are not professional at all.

As you increase your business you can upgrade and pay more for your videos but while you are bootstrapping you should look to keep your costs as low as possible.

One of the easiest ways to make videos is to put your article into a bunch of PowerPoint slides and then read the slides.

You can add some royalty free music so it will drown out some of the background noise and you will have a "good enough" video that you can submit to all the popular video sites.

You can do your first video like this in about an hour.  Then it will take you just 5 to 10 minutes as you get better.

Then when you start getting more traffic to your site and converting those visitors to sales, you can worry about increasing the production quality of your videos.

You may find that people like dealing with non professionals because you are just like them instead of a professional who only cares about themselves and the money.

If you don't like the sound of your voice or have a thick accent or just are terrified of reading onto a video, pay a college kid to do it for you.  Find one with a nice voice and pay them $10, $20 to read a few videos for you. 

Another way to start doing video marketing is to put them on your sales letters.  Numerous businesses have reported a big increase in sales due to using video marketing.

Not every one likes to read a long sales letter. Watching a video is easier and it is what we are used to after watching 8 hours of TV a day.

So give them what they are interested in and used to - videos.

If you have a book or ebook, you can increase the value of the book by making some companion videos or tutorials on how to use your product.  You can offer them as a bonus or in a deluxe package and get a higher price for your products.

You could license someone else's product who you think would do well with videos and do the same thing - make some tutorials or further explain what is in the book and get a higher price for your products.

There are so many things you can do with video that you cannot do with the written word. We all love watching videos so give us what we want and you'll enjoy more success in your business.
